Mira ad essere un divertente antidoto alla vasta produzione di film seri creati in occasione delle celebrazioni Mozartiane. Incontriamo insoliti personaggi ossessionati da questa figura: un’insegnante in pensione Svizzera che colleziona qualsiasi cosa che abbia a che fare con Mozart; un ex-musicista dell’Oklahoma che ritiene di essere posseduto dal suo spirito; un genio dell’informatica che ha inventato un programma capace di creare un concerto di Mozart in meno di un secondo; un astronauta Austriaco, patito di pianoforte, che ha viaggiato nello spazio con una partitura per Il Flauto Magicoed una scatola di cioccolatini Mozartku¨geln.

Mozartballs is a light-hearted tribute to Mozart and explores what he symbolizes in our age. It aims at being the antidote to the many serious programs produced for the Mozart year. It features curious characters that embody the spirit of Mozart - from a retired Swiss school teacher obsessed by all things Mozart, to an ex-pop musician in Oklahoma who believes that his body is actually inhabited by Mozart’s spirit; from a computer genius in California whose software has created a new Mozart cello concerto in less than one second, to a piano-playing Austrian astronaut who carried a score of The Magic Fluteand delicious chocolate Mozartku¨geln into space.
